A profane tirade during a parent-teacher conference this week at a Dallas elementary school led to a teacher being injured and a woman facing assault charges.
The alleged attack happened Tuesday at John Neely Bryan Elementary School in east Oak Cliff. A teacher reported that a woman accused her of "pinching her nephew" and assaulted her during an 11 a.m. parent-teacher conference, according to the arrest warrant.
Lakietha Lashell Lawrence, 27, was arrested by Dallas County sheriff’s deputies on charges of assaulting a public servant. She was taken to the Dallas County Jail.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Lawrence began cursing out the teacher before the teacher could get the conference started and punched her repeatedly, refusing to let go of her hair as other school employees tried to pull the two apart.
The teacher went to the doctor with multiple injuries, according to the warrant.
